MOZELLE BATY SERVICES ARE SET THURSDAY

Funeral services for Mozelle T. Baty, 70, of 614 W. 3rd St. S., a lifelong resident of Newton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Johnson-Reese Chapel.

The Rev. William C. Hamilton, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Palo Alto Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Johnson-Reese Chapel after noon today.

Survivors are a half-sister, Miss Eula Varner of Des Moines; two step-sisters, Mrs. Charles Larrison of Newton and Mrs. Raymond Martin of Des Moines; four step-brothers; and her mother, Mrs. Florence Varner of Embassy Manor.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Miss Baty was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Fleur de Leis Club.

Miss Baty was employed by the Woolworth Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1971.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baty, she was born July 7, 1905 in Newton and attended Newton schools.

She died Tuesday morning at the Des Moines General Hospital.
