DEATH CLAIMS REASNOR WOMAN
Mrs. Fred Varner Dies. Ill Only One Week.

REASNOR, Ia., January 24--Mrs. Fred Varner died here at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning from erysipelas, after only a week's illness. Her death comes as a shock to the entire community where Mrs. Varner has been one of the most active members in the Methodist Episcopal church and other prominent organizations. She was also a member of the Rebekah lodge at Guthrie Center.

Mrs. Varner was born in Hoyt, Va. thirty-six years ago. She and her husband, who is station agent for the Rock Island railroad here, have lived in the community for a number of years.

She is survived by her husband and children, Harold, thirteen; Raymond, eleven; Salma, ten; Dean, eight; Genieve, six; and Lyle, four; two sisters, Ruth Park, of Wellsville, Ohio and Kate Vannetter,of Wessington, S.D.; two brothers, O.B. Grier of Bridgeport, Nebraska; and Laurence Grier of Burning Springs, West Virginia.

A private funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 o'clock from the home. Burial will be made in the Palo Alto cemetery. Rev. Moorman, of the Methodist church at Reasnor, will be in charge of the services.
