MONROE — Anna Keuning, 92, of Monroe, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Nelson Manor in Newton. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church, with burial following at Waveland Cemetery. Visitation is today, Monday, Sept. 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Source: Newton(IA) Daily News; Monday, September 29, 2008The daughter of Otto Decker, Sr. and Elsie (Buettner) Decker, Anna was born on September 24, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois. On March 3, 1945, Anna was united in marriage to Ray Keuning in Prairie City. Anna was a longtime member of the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church, where she was active in many groups. Those left to honor her memory are her three children, Alivin (Lana) Keuning, Tom (Paula) Keuning and Keith (Cheryl) Keuning all of Monroe, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Preceding Anna in death were her parents, husband, a brother, Otto Decker, Jr. and a sister, Henrietta Bobek.
