OTTUMWA — Florence E. Snook, 99, of Ottumwa died at 8:05 p.m. on May 9, 2008, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
She was born March 8, 1909, in Ottumwa to James and Gertrude Rogers Mallonee. She married Robert Snook Nov. 27, 1937, in Lancaster, Mo. He preceded her in death March 27, 1999.
Surviving is a daughter, Sandra Lenz of Newton; a son, Steve Snook of Ottumwa; a granddaughter, Mindy (James) Plumb of Belle Plaine; and two great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Taylor.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Jack, Loyal, Tiny, Clarence and Nummy Mallonee; and a sister, Elsie Neuhart.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Lon Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
Visitation will be open after noon today, May 12, at the funeral home with the family present one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
A memorial has been established to Hospice of Jasper County.
