DES MOINES - Gladyce E. McBride, 95, 4614 NW 84th St., Des Moines, a native of Jasper County, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Urbandale Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Dunn's Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Burial will be in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Visitation with the family will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital will be accepted.

Survivors are a sister, Ruth Wright of Des Moines.

Mrs. McBride, a sales clerk at Younkers, had resided in Perry before moving to Des Moines in 1956.

She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Des Moines Womren's Club, Urbandale Women's Club, Nation Tri "T" Association, Daughters of the Nile and the Des Moines Garden Club. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, January 1995
