Cindy L. Wright, 52, of Newton died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at her home in Newton.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Mark Young, pastor of First Christian Church in Newton, officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

The family will greet friends following the service with a coffee time at the funeral home. Memorials in Cindy’s name may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Dedich) Green, she was born April 29, 1955, in Princeton, Ill. Cindy had lived in Newton since 1982 and had lived in Princeton, Ill., prior to moving to Newton. On Dec. 14, 1980, she married Dwayne E. Wright in Bureau, Ill.

Cindy graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, Ill., and she worked as a welder in the Sheet Metal Department of the Maytag Company for 13 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the UAW Local 997 and Retirees Union. Cindy loved her grandchildren and was a big fan of the New York Yankees.

Survivors include her husband, Dwayne of Newton; a daughter, Shelley Renes of Des Moines; a son, Dwayne “Dewy” Wright of Newton; two step-daughters, Tesha Winters of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Renee Hahn of Waterloo; a step-son, Korky Wright of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Cynthia Renes, Devan Renes, Raven Winters and Danny Winters; a great-granddaughter, Brynn Romine; her mother, Elizabeth (Dedich) Dugosh of Lyndon, Ill.; two brothers, Mike Talbot of Princeton, Ill., and Bill Green of LeClaire; and special friends Linda Little Cottingham, Betty Roggy, Joyce Egan, Philip Egan, Mary and Hank Goodrum, Dick and Donna Green and too many others to mention.

She was preceded in death by her father.
