Peter Van Dyk

PRAIRIE CITY - Peter Van Dyk, 84, a resident of the Prairie City community for more than half a century, died Saturday, Sept. 10, at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.

The Rev. Joel Brummel, pastor of the Prairie City First Reformed Church, will conduct services.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.

Survivors are three nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tice and Nick.

Mr. Van Dyk was a member of the Prairie City First Reformed Church.

The son of John and Hattie Beintema Van Dyk, he was born Oct. 2, 1909 in Pella.
