GRINNELL, IA. - Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lynnville Friends Church for Mabel L. Savage, 81, of St. Francis Manor Nursing Home in Grinnell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Savage died Saturday of a stroke at home.

Mrs. Savage was born near Lynnville. A homemaker, she lived in Des Moines for 40 years before returning to Lynnville in 1982. She retired to Grinnell two years ago. She was a member of the Lynnville Friends Church and the Railway Mail Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Harry; two daughters, Janice Bailey of Tucson, Ariz., and Louise Rudkin of Coralville; a sister, Blanche Sparks of Lynnville; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, March 1990
