NEW SHARON - Ruth Ann Kessler, 83, of New Sharon, a former longtime resident of Oskaloosa and mother of Jim Kessler of Newton, died Tuesday, June 4, at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at College Avenue Friends Church in Oskaloosa.

Memorials to the Friends Church or William Penn College will be accepted.

Visitation with the family will be held Friday evening at Pella Garden Chapel Funeral Home.

Also surviving are a daughter, two grandchildren and a sister. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, June 1991
