NEWTON, IA. - Cornelia Strand Kalma, 78, of Newton died of a heart attack Monday at her daughter's home in Westchester, Ohio. Services will be graveside at 10 a.m. Friday in Newton Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Kalma was born in Marshalltown and lived in Newton most of her life. She was a homemaker.

Her daughter, Katharine Lidman, and two grandchildren, survive.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Hospice of Jasper County. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, August 1990
