Arthur A. Loupee, 74, of Newton died of cancer Wednesday at Newton Health Care Center, where he had lived since 1992. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton, with burial at our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

Mr. Loupee was born in Newton and lived in the area all his life. He was retired from the sanitation department of the city of Newton and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Conrad and Dale; two daughters, Evelyn Loupee and Beckie Loupee; a sister, Bessie Loupee; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, November 1994

Funeral services for Arthur A. Loupee, 74, of Newton Health Care Center, a lifelong resident of Newton, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

The Rev. J. Ronald Burnet, pastor of the Immanuel Baptist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today and visitation with the family will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials in his name will be accepted.

He died Wednesday evening at the car center of cancer.

Survivors are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Conrad and DeAnn, and Dale Lee; two daughters, Evelyn Joanne Loupee and Beckie Jean Loupee; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bessie Loupee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Darleen, Dec. 20, 1981 and a brother, Walter.

Mr. Loupee, a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, was employed by the One Minute Washer Co. in Kellogg from 1960 to 1969 and by the City of Newton sanitation department for 10 years.

The son of Alva Harry and Emma Marie Pauls Loupee, he was born March 26, 1920 in rural Newton and attended Wittemberg Rural School.

He was married to Darleen Katharine Parsons March 24, 1946 in Newton. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, November 1994.
