Etha B. Lenahan, Former Resident, Dies Thursday

Mrs. George (Etha B.) Lenahan, 85, of Valley View Nursing Home in Des Moines, a resident of Newton for 25 years, died Thursday evening at the home.

Graveside rites will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Newton Union Cemetery.

Wallace Funeral Home in Newton is handling arrangements.

Survivors are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Gaylie Godwin of Newton; a nephew, Loren Godwin of Chicago, Ill.; and three nieces, Mrs. W. E. (Imogene) Abel of Des Moines, Mrs. Harry (Ada) Miller of Linden and Marguerite Combs of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Ethel, a brother, Harvey, and a nephew, Lyle Godwin.

Mrs. Lenahan had been employed as night operator at the United Telephone Co. for 14 years.

The daughter of E. J. and Emma Pancoast Godwin, she was born July 15, 1893 at Stuart.
