ALBIA Sarrah Marguerite Selby, 88, of Albia, mother of Ernest Selby Jr. of Kellogg and Eleanor Rhoads of Newton, died Tuesday, April 13, at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Albia.

Burial will be in Service Chapel Cemetery near Albia.

An open Memorial has been established.

Friends may call at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Albia after 9 a.m. today with the family present Friday evening.

Also surviving are another son, and another daughter, a sister, three brothers, 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest, stepmother, nine sisters and brothers, a daughter, a son, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Selby was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, April 1993
