Danielle C. Richtsmeier, 8-week-old daughter of Bill and Lori Richtsmeier of 604 E. 12th St. N., died Thursday, April 4, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines of heart failure.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials to a fund in her name will be accepted.

Also surviving are a brother, Travis Jay of Newton; her paternal grandparents, Richard M. and Loretta M. Richtsmeier of Newton; her maternal grandparents, Carroll and Ruth Hammer of Newton; her maternal great-grandparents, Marv and Wilma Crandell of Newton; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents and maternal great-grandparents.

The daughter of Bill and Lori Hammer Richtsmeier, she was born Feb. 8, 1991 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, April 1991
