I. W. Hutchinson of Rock Island Taken by Death

Ishmel William Hutchinson, 81 of Harris Addition, Rock Island, died at 12:55 this morning in St. Anthony’s Hospital. He had been in ill health a year.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 Monday afternoon at the Larson Funeral Home, Milan, with burial in Coal Valley Cemetery. The Rev. Fred J. Rolf, pastor emeritus of the Church of Peace, will officiate.

Mr. Hutchinson was born Sept. 12, 1875 in Brooklyn, Iowa,* a son of the late William and Elizabeth Hutchinson. He received his education in Brooklyn and came to Rock Island 3 years ago. He married Mrs. Kathryn S. Utts Brehmer Jan. 16, 1916.

Mr. Hutchinson was employed by the Rock Island Transfer and Storage Company and by Sturtevant’s Dairy before retiring four years ago. He was of the Methodist faith.

His parents and a brother preceded him in death. Surviving are the widow and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Carol V. Reidling of Birmingham, Mich.

* Ishmel Hutchinson lived for some time in Brooklyn, Iowa, however, he was born in Jasper County, Iowa and attended Jasper County, Iowa schools.
