Dora Neubauer, 91, of Schleswig, mother of Virgil Neubauer of Newton, died Monday, Oct. 25, at the Newton Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Friday at Schleswig.

Among survivors are two granddaughters, Lynn Neubauer and LaSchelle Woods, both of Newton; a grandson, Alan Neubauer of Janesville, Wis.; and six great-grandchildren. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, October 1993

Funeral services for Dora H. Meyer Neubauer, 91, of Newton Health Care Center, were held Friday, Oct. 29, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig.

The Rev. Donald Wagner conducted services. Burial was in the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig.
She died recently at the care center.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Virgil and Fanchon of Newton; two grandsons, Alan of Janesville, Wis., and Dean of Horseheads, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Lashelle Woods and Lynette Neubauer, both of Newton; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert, four sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Neubauer was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, the church's Fellowship Club, Ladies Aide and the Eventide Auxiliary.

The daughter of August and Dora Hamman Meyer, she was born Nov. 27, 1901 on a farm in Soldier Township near Charter Oak and attended the Immanuel Lutheran Church Parochial School in Soldier Township.

She was married to Albert Neubauer Dec. 15, 19256 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in Ida County until retiring in 1952 and moving to Schleswig. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, October 1993
