MITCHELLVILLE - Funeral services for Marie Lamb Pearson, 84, of Mitchellville, a resident of Mitchellville for 20 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. James Robertson of Des Moines will conduct services. Burial will be in Mitchellville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home and family visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pearson died Wednesday at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Survivors are her husband, Hubert; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Hanke of Mitchellville; a stepdaughter, Barbara Palmer of Cheyenne Wyo.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three-step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvah Hanke in 1952, parents, three brothers, six sisters and a son, Kenneth Hanke.

The daughter of Edward and Mary Cox Lamb, she was born August 21, 1906, in West Des Moines.

She was married to Hubert Pearson June 8, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Prior to moving to Mitchellville she had resided in Des Moines. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, January 1991
