INDIANOLA - Funeral services for Ruth S. Snetselaar Patterson, 60 of Indianola, a former resident of the Prairie City and Colfax communities, where held Saturday, September 21, in Peterson's Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial was in the Indianola Order of Odd Fellow Cemetery.

She died Thursday at her home.

Memorials to the American Heart Association will be accepted.

Survivors are her husband, George; three sons, Mike of Ackworth, Timothy of Dexter and Mark of Indianola; and three grandchildren.

Also surviving are by sisters, Jeanette Griffieon of Melcher-Dallas, Marie Stemler and Angeline Snetselaar, both of Indianola; Irene Nolan of Bevington and June Nash of Minneapolis, Minn.; and three brothers, William Snetselaar of Colfax, Albert Snetselaar of Indianola and John Snetselaar of Winterset.

Mrs. Patterson, a member of the Telephone Pioneers, was a retired employee of Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. She was serving as senior clerk of the rate and administration department at the time of her retirement.

The daughter of Barney and Dean Snetselaar she was born in Mitchellville. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, September 1991
