WEST LIBERTY - Funeral services for Katheryn Sorensen Paisley, 82 of West Liberty, a former resident of Kellogg were held recently at the First Church United in West Liberty.

Burial was in Columbus City Cemetery.

Mrs. Paisley died at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

She is survived by two nephews, Daniel Slayden of Mountlake Terrace, Wash., and James Slayden of Covina, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Otto, and two sisters, Marie and Agnes.

Mrs. Paisley was a member of the church, attending the Happy Hour Meal site and was a member of the advisory board of the great River Bend Commission on Aging in Rock Island, Ill. and the Nutrition Board in Davenport.

She retired in 1975 after being employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City for more than 23 years.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sorensen of Kellogg and a 1928 graduate of Kellogg High School, she was married to Mike Sullivan in 1929 and to Lauren Paisley in 1963. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News
