LEXINGTON, Mo. - Funeral services for Robert Arthur Joy, 63, of Rt. 2, Lexington, Mo., a former resident of Iowa, were held this morning, Feb. 15, at Nadler Graff Funeral Home in Lexington.

The Rev. Charles Reed conducted services. Burial was in the Memorial Gardens in Lexington.

He died Monday afternoon at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.

Memorials may be sent to Patricia Joy, Rt. 2, Box 177G, Lexington, Mo.

Survivors are his wife, Patricia; a son, Ryan, at home, a daughter, Adrian, at home; and a half-sister, Margaret Alice Broderick of Omaha, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Thomas, his mother, Lois Irene, and a sister, Imogene.

Mr. Joy, a former owner-operator of several restaurants in southern Minnesota until 1975, was a food service manager at Gladieux Corporation at Wentworth Military Academy prior to retiring in 1981.

Mr. Joy, who moved to Missouri in 1981, was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

The son of Howard Thomas and Lois Irene Turner Joy, he was born June 15, 1926 in Nevinville and was graduated from Jackson, Minn.

He was married to Patricia L. Mc Kinney July 31, 1978 in Rockford. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, February 1990
