COLFAX - Funeral services for Jennie P. Tomlonovic Menken, 90, a longtime resident of the Colfax community, were held today, Feb. 21, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
The Rev. Joseph Roost, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Colfax.
Wake services were held Sunday evening at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
She died Friday at Skiff Medical Center iin Newton.
Survivors are two sisters, Elizabeth Maxwell of Collins and Helen Moffitt of Colfax; a brother Joe Tomlonovic of Newton; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, in 1956, a son, Robert, three brothers, George, John and Vincent, and a sister, Matilda Radosovich.
Mrs. Menken, a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society, had worked as a nursing asistant and wored in several area restaurants.
The daughter of John and Catherine Sadaj Tomlonovic, she was born August 21, 1903 near Colfax.~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, February 1994

Jennie Menken Services Held Feb. 21Funeral services for Jennie P. Tomlonovic Menken, 90, a longtime resident of the Colfax community, were held Monday, Feb. 21, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Jospeh Roost, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Colfax Cemetery.
The soloist was Melissa Daft, and the organist was Eleanor Howell.
Casket bearers were Gary Moffitt, Larry Moffitt, Pat Tomlonovic, James Tomlonovic, R. R. Susic, and Stanley Daft.
