Mrs. Marie Eatwell
Died at Mercy Hospital

Mrs. Marie Eatwell of Mingo passed away from a brief illness at the Mercy Hospital on April 9, 1953 at the age of 42 years, 2months and 4 days.

Marie was a member of the Christian Church at Maxwell since the age of twelve, but was a regular attendant at the Mingo Methodist Church where she resided for several years.

On Sept. 19, 1932, she was married to Alfred Eatwell of Mingo and to this union were born two children, Wanda Jean and Darrell Lee. She also was a wonderful mother to a stepson Alfred Eatwell Jr. of Newton. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, three children, a daughter-in-law and grandson, Rodney. Also her mother, Mrs. Edna Hennick of Maxwell, one sister, Mrs. Ila Neal of Boone, three brothers, Virgil of Maxwell, Paul of Boone, and Irving of Pontiac, Michigan, besides a large number of relatives and friends who will miss her smiles and warm friendly interest she had in everyone around her. She was always interested in all school activities and a faithful member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mingo.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, April 12th at the Mingo Methodist Church with Rev. Floyd Shepard of Colfax officiating, Music was furnished by Mrs. Audra Harter, organist and Mrs. Gene Leonard, soloist.

Pall bearers were Donald Graham, Orville Robinson, Loren Murphy, Harold Geisler, Francis Southern, and Lester Shaffer.

Internment was at the Graham cemetery.

We wish to express our great appreciation and thanks for the many acts of kindness and heartfelt sympathy by our many neighbors and friends extended to us during the illness and death of our beloved wife and mother. It eases the burden of grief and sorrow greatly. We also desire to express our thanks for the many beautiful floral tributes and food furnished and meals served.
