COLFAX - Graveside rites for Henry Edward "Bunky" Withers, 61, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Colfax Cemetery.
The Rev. Michael Orthel, pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, will conduct services.
Friends may call after noon today at the Walters-Colburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
Mr. Withers, a longtime resident of Colfax, died Thursday at his home.
Survivors are his wife, Patricia; a son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Nancy of Baxter; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marvlyn and Garry Karas, Michelle and Grecory Case and Meri Withers, all of Colfax; and eight grandchildren.
Also surviving is a brother, Ked of Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Benjamin, and a sister Marvlyn.
A Navy veteran, Mr. Withers was an employee of the Maytag Co. in Newton for 30 years, retiring June 1, 1981.
He was a member of the Colfax Christian Church.
The son of Henry and Marie M. Brown Withers, he was born July 29, 1932 in Colfax and was a graduate of Colfax Community High School.
He was married to Patricia A. Hummel May 3, 1957 in Newton. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, April 1994
