Helen G. Hildebrandt, 80, as 720 Oak Park Ave, died of cancer Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at all Saints Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Stuart at a later date.

Mrs. Hildebrandt was born in Stuart and lived in Chicago before moving to Des Moines 40 years ago. She had worked as a teacher and then as an administrative secretary at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the Highland Park Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane Mahaffey and Judy Hildebrandt, both of Des Moines; a son, William of Colfax; a brother, Francis Shea of Stuart; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church or All Saints School. Hamilton's Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, February 1990
