Anna M. Lansrud Dies on Tuesday; Services Friday
Mrs. Vern (Anna M.) Lansrud, 75, of 1120 S. 8th Ave W., a resident of Newton since 1928, died Tuesday evening at the Mercy Hospital in Des moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Johnson-Reese Chapel.
The Rev. H. Eugene Cedarholm, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Johnson-Reese Chapel after 11 a.m Thursday.
Contributions to a memorial established in Mrs. Lansrud's name to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund will be accepted. Memorials may be left at the church or funeral home.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Max (Mary Ann) Borst of Newton and Mrs. John (Sally) Mateer of Taylor, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Lansrud was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Questers.
She had worked for a number of years at the Newton Clinic and Nollen's Gift Shop.
The daughter of Thadeus and Mary Longwell, she was born July 15, 1903 at Bellefonte, Pa., and attended Des Moines schools.
She was married to Vernon Lansrud April 19, 1924 at Newton. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, August 19, 1978
