David Henry Winegar was born in Highland County, Ohio January 19, 1861 and died at his home near Prairie City, December 11, 1926 at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 20 days.

Mr. Winegar came to Iowa with his parents when just a small boy. The family settled near Runnells, where Mr. Winegar lived until he came to live near Prairie City.

He was married to Mary C. Breckenridge July 11, 1882. Eight children - William David, Dessie Ellen., Jess J., Maude Delia, Charles Edward, Roy Francis, Josephine and Grace Belline.

Surviving are his wife, eight children, six grandchildren and two brothers, John Winegar of Des Moines, and Fillmore of Runnells, three sisters, Mrs. Addie Dillon of Mitchellville, Mrs. Ella Bidwell of Prairie City and Eva Winegar of Runnells.

Burial in Waveland Cemetery.
