Elmira Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Brous and only sister of A. H. Brous, was born in Marion County, Iowa in 1856 and died in Portland, Oregon September 4, 1926.

She was the seventh child of a family of eight children all of whom, except A. H. Brous have preceded her in death.

She was married to D. H. Miller July 2, 1871 and in October, 1875 she and her husband and her husband’s father and mother moved to Medford, Oregon where her husband died about 10 years ago.

She was married to William E. Howard of Portland, Oregon in December, 1919. They lived in Portland, Oregon until death.
