John Emory Brown, a resident of Glenwood for the last 9 years, died April, 1926. He was born on July 12, 1887 near Mitchellville, Polk County, Iowa.

He was married on March 7, 1908 to Miss Alberta Halsey at Centerburg, Ohio.

Nine years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved to Glenwood. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Elbert Halsey, Randolph Emory, and Ralph Andreas.

Also a brother, Homer C. of Des Moines, and sisters Mrs. Grace Stuart, Mrs. Anna Huntoon and Mrs. Edna Pine of Des Moines, and Mrs. Amy Waggoner of Pasadena, California.

Burial at Mitchellville, Iowa.
