S. F. Brown was born in Clinton Co., Ohio January 27, 1846.

He was in the Civil War from Ohio.

On January 23, 1863 he married Angeline Levicy. Seven children.

All live around Prairie City except Charles E., who died in 1914.

Came to Iowa about 50 years ago.

Burial in Waveland Cemetery.
