Alfred Harrison Phelps, son of Harrison G. and Eliza E. Phelps was born January 12, 1846 in Davis Co., Iowa and died at Prairie City January 26, 1925.

He was in the Civil War, Co. E. 3rd Ia. Cavalry.

Married Mary C. Hall February 11, 1869.

Four children - Emma, Willard H., Clayton 0. and Clinton Wayne of Indianola. Clinton is the only surviving child.

Burial in Waveland Cemetery.
