Franklin Richard Rucker was born in Macoupin Co., Illinois on November 17, 1861 and died February 11, 1925.

Son of Ruben S. and Melvina Rucker.

He married Miss Martha Jeffries in 1882.

Three children – Arthur, who died near Vandalia in the spring of 1918. Mrs. Carrie Awtry of Prairie City and Lee of Newton. Two sisters – Mrs. E. R. McCrosky of Kansas City, Missouri and Mrs. Julia McDannel of Sioux City and two brothers, R. R. Rucker of Des Moines and W. C. Rucker of Rockwell, Iowa.
