Thomas Reynolds Conley was born in Ohio on January 8, 1840, and died February 9, 1924. He served in the Civil War in Co. E, 17th Iowa Infantry.

Married to Mary J. Chasteen on April 17, 1864. Eight children. The eldest a girl died in infancy. Living are --- G. A. Conley, of Burke, South Dakota; C. E. and T. J., of Prairie
City; Mrs. George Ford of Redfield, Iowa.; Mrs. B. F. Cottrell, of Mt. Vernon, Ia.; W. W. and Percy B. of Prairie City.

Came to Iowa in 1874, first in Wapello then Marion Counties, then Prairie City.

Burial in Waveland Cemetery, Prairie City.
