DEATH OF DR. BELL-The Herald published at Cameron, Texas, gives a full account of the drowning of Dr. Arthur M. Bell, on Friday, July 13th, 1894. It seems that he and a companion were swimming in a rapid stream and neither were good swimmers. The Dr. got strangled and he companion could not get him out. The body was not recovered until Sunday morning and was badly decomposed. He left a wife but no children. The deceased will be remembered by many Newton people. Mrs. Oscar Efnor and Mrs. Robt. Efnor are sisters of the deceased, who for some time was a clerk in the drug store of O.N. Wagley about three years ago.
