Robert Leland Faidley, 52, of Dallas Center, died of injuries sustained in a car accident Nov. 15, 1997 on Highway 17 three miles north of highway 141. Funeral services were November 20 at First Christian Church in Granger. Burial and graveside services followed at the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

He was born May 15, 1945, in Oskaloosa, to Leland Clarence and Birdy Kathryn (Beintema) Faidley. In June of 1988, he married Patricia Ann Schaffer. He worked with Grounds Maintenance at the Hill Crest Country Club in Adel after working at the Hyperian Field Club for 15 years. He served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League, Iowa Ski Club, and the Sugar Grove Range.

Surviving relatives include his wife of Dallas Center; his parents of Prairie; two sisters, Verla A. Van Scoy of Clinton, April Joy Faidley of Indianapolis, Ind; and one brother, Terry D. Faidley of Lebanon, N. J.
