Ruth Adah Faidley, age 90, resident of Prairie City, IA., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003 in Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29 in Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. Burial was held in Six Mile Cemetery in Hatfield, Ark., on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. under the direction of Coburn Funeral Home of Colfax.

She was born Aug. 3, 1913 in Prairie City, IA., to Charles H. and Mable L. Jones Phearman; graduated from Prairie City High School in 1931; was united in marriage to Darrell E. Faidley on Feb. 19, 1942; and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Prairie City.

She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Faidley of Colfax, IA., Linda Beem of Nevada [Iowa], and Shirley Smith of De Queen; a son, Ronald Faidley of Brooklyn [Iowa]; a sister, Mildred Pilkington of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church building fund or the Colfax Senior Citizen Center.
