Prairie City-Wayne Everett Faidley, 77, of Prairie City, died Saturday, Oct. 23, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10;30 a.m. at the Prairie City Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Price, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

Visitation will be held today at the Walters- Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials to the Prairie City Christian Church, Jasper County Hstorical Society or Helen Rossi Volunteer Guest House at the University of Iowa will be accepted.

The son of Clarence Sr. and Vera (Clymer) Faidley, he was born July 23, 1922, in Prairie City. He graduated from Prairie City High School in 1941. He married Carolline Dykstra Sept 12, 1946, in Prairie City.

A lifelong resident of Prairie City, Mr. Faidley worked as a farmer. He was a member of the Prairie City Christian Church and Jasper County Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence Jr. and Helen of Prairie City, Gaylord and Leona and Leland and Birdy, all of Colfax.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, a nephew and a great-nephew.
