Obituary - Henry D. Blood was born Dec. 4th, 1853, in Victoria, Wisconsin. Receivd his education at Oshkosh Commercial College. While at this school, Mr. Blood made a heroic rescue from a fire by which he sustained permanent physical injuries.

He has lived in Newton something over five years. Our citizens will recall the death of his little daughter, last fall, from diphtheria. He has not been well since that time, and recently passed into a rapid decline.

His death occurred at three o'clock last Sunday morning. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church Tuesday, Pres. Aylesworth having charge.
