Monroe Mirror: Died, on Saturday evening, Dec. 2, 1893, at the ripe old age of 83 years, Mrs. E. H. Matheny. Her illness was of long duration, but the end was peace. ~ The Newton Journal, Wednesday, Dec 13, 1893.
