On Monday of this week. S. H. Reese received the sad intelligence of the death of an uncle at Eagle Point, Oregon, Lewis L. Rees. He went to Oregon in 1849, was single and living alone. He was found dead in his house and an inquest held by a Justice of the Peace revealed the fact that he was injured by a vicious bull and died alone. He had property valued at $1500. F. P. Rees, of Audubon, will go and settle up the estate. ~ The Newton Journal, Wednesday, December 20, 1893
