OBITUARY. - Great sorrow has come to the home of Mrs. Hotchkiss of our city, by the death of her son William Delbert. The children were taken down with diptheria, and last Saturday this little boy passed away. The funeral was private, on Sabbath. At the time of his death, he was seven years, four months and ten days old. He was a very bright, good boy. He was a good scholar in day school and in Sunday school. He talked of growing up to be a good man; and the good boy that he was, gave promise that if he had lived he would have become a good man. The other children are getting better at this writing. Mrs. Hotchkiss is a hard working woman and has done nobly in caring for her five or six children. She has the sympathy of all in the loss of her dear little boy. She requests us to thank all the neighbors who have been so kind to her at this time of sorrow. ~ The Newton Journal, Wednesday, Nov. 29, 1893.
