Monday, March 18, 1985Lynnville – Claire E. Schnell, 75, of Rt. 1, Lynnville, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Saturday, March 16, at his farm home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church west of Sully.
The Rev. A. L. Schultz, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton after 8 a.m. today, March 18. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors are his wife, Goldie; three sons, David E., Richard C. and Ronald J., all of Rt. 1, Sully; and a sister, Mrs. Loren (Dorothy) Elliott of Rt. 1, Grinnell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Raymond.
Mr. Schnell, a longtime farmer, was a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church and the Jasper County Farm Bureau.
The son of Louis C. and Myrtle Rohrdanz Schnell, he was born Dec. 6, 1909 on a farm near Killduff.
He was married to Goldie Koppin Oct. 17, 1936 in Kellogg.
