Last Thursday, Mr. Charles Jasper recieved a telegram stating that his sister Mrs. Berhanke, had died at her home in Lena, Ill. With his wife he started the same afternoon to be present at the funeral. ~ The Newton (IA) Journal, Wednesday, August 2, 1893.
