DIED. – At the home of his sister, Mrs. Wm. Bergman, on Sunday evening, Jan. 13, 1894, MR. HARRY PAINTER died of consumption at the age of 25 years.

Harry was born in Bloomington, Ills., on April 30th 1868. He came with his parents to Newton when eight years old, and left here for Ohio about five years ago. About a month ago Harry came home to his sisters and all who saw him knew that he was about gone and that in a short time a great sorrow would fall upon the ones near and dear to him. The funeral was held at the home of Mr. Wm. Bergman in our city and was attended by a large number of sympathizing friends. His two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Bergman, and Miss Gussie Painter are now the sole survivors of the family. His death will be mourned by his betrothed, a lady of Iowa City. The remains were laid away in the Newton cemetery. His two sisters and betrothed have the deepest sympathy of all our people. Rev. Harrah conducted the services. ~ The Newton Journal, Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1894
