COLFAX — Joseph Wayne Nell, 52, of Colfax died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, in the Jasper County Hospice Monarch Wing at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at the Colfax Cemetery.

The son of Paul and Laura (Day) Nell, he was born March 15, 1954, in Newton. He graduated from Colfax High School and spent his life as a construction worker for Ace Construction in Des Moines.

He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Pat Nell of Ankeny and Tony and Deb of Colfax; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Nelpha and Ralph Owens of Mingo, Jane Hopkins of Marshalltown and Mary Sliger of Syracuse, Neb.; his sister-in-law Verna Nell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Kenneth Paul Nell, John Darrell Nell and David Nell.
