Mrs. B. B. Winters died at her home near Galesburg at 11:45 o’clock Tuesday night as a result of heart trouble and complicated diseases after a four weeks illness.

Mrs. Winters was born in Indiana sixty-nine years ago. She came to Iowa when a girl. She has resided in Iowa ever since, living first at Mahaska county and then moving to Galesburg, Jasper County thirty-five years ago. Her husband, B. B. Winters, owned and operated a general mercantile store in Galesburg, until his death in 1905.

The deceased was devoted member of the Christian church, her untiring work among the members and the community will be greatly missed. She was a woman who enjoyed a large number of friends and acquaintances and whose kind and cheery disposition won for her the respect of the whole community.

Mrs. Winters was the mother of eight children, six girls and two boys, two fo the girls died when reaching young womanhood. Those who survive are Mrs. Ida Wheeler, Mrs. Edna Zwank, Mrs. Bella Zwank, Porter Winters and Ollie S. Winters who was living at the home at the time of his mothers death.

Funeral services will be held from the Galesburg Christian church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be made in the Hewitt cemetery near Galesburg.
