Grace Durr

Grace Durr, 69, of Embassy Manor Care Center, a longtime resident of the Newton and Grinnell area, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 17, at the Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

The Rev. H. Eugene Cedarholm, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. Friday.

Memorials to the Embassy Manor Care Center Activities Fund may be left at the funeral home.

Survivors are a brother, Floyd Durr of Grinnell; and several nieces and nephews, including Phyllis Kimler of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Evelyn Kingma and Verna Shepherd.

Miss Durr, an invalid since birth, was a baptized member of the First Lutheran Church.

The daughter of Clarence and Maonie Colhard Durr, she was born June 21, 1921 in Boise, Idaho.
