PRAIRIE CITY -- Funeral services for Dawn Quigley Daugherty, 86, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, a longtime former resident of Vandalia, were held today, Dec. 31, at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.
Thomas Dennis of Des Moines conducted services and burial was in Vandalia Cemetery.
Mrs. Daugherty died Friday at the manor.
Survivors are a son, Clifford Duckstein of Prairie City; three daughters, Helen (Mrs. Ray) Wilson, Melda (Mrs. Marvin) Ingle and Dorothy (Mrs. Dale) Van Maanen, all of Prairie City; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Helen Hiemstra of Prairie City and a brother, W. R. Quigley of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Glenn D.
Mrs. Daugherty was a member of the Vandalia Church of Christ.
The daughter of Dee A. and Ruth Lynch Quigley, she was born May 17, 1904 in Unionville.
A graduate of Newton Community High School, she was married to Glenn D. Daugherty March 11, 1931 in Bethany, Mo.
She was a bookkeeper in the Mc Klveen Lumber Co. office in Runnells for many years.
