Allie De Jong

PELLA -- Allie De Kick De Jong, 95, of Pella, a native of the Sully community, died Friday, Nov. 2, at the Pella Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services were held today at the Pella Trinity Reformed Church.

The Rev. Donald Plantinga, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Sully Cemetery.

Memorials to the Pella Christian Opportunity Center may be left at the Pella Garden Chapel Funeral Home.

Survivors are a son, Johnnie of Sully; two daughters, Clazina (Mrs. Harold) Hoksbergen of Pella and Wanda (Mrs. Warren) De Prenger of Leighton; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Everett, March 24, 1987, six brothers, John, Jasper, Henry, Arie, Gerrit and Tony and two sisters, Jennie Dykens and Allie in infancy.

Mrs. De Jong was a member of the Pella Trinity Reformed Church.

The daughter of Arie F. and Gertie Pippel De Kock, she was born Nov. 26, 1894 in Sully and grew up and was educated in the Sully area.

She was married to Everett De John Feb. 18, 1925 at Sully and they farmed in the Sully area until 1954 when they moved to Pella.

Allie De Jong

PELLA, IA. -- Allie De Jong, 95, of Pella died of a heart ailment Friday at home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity Reformed Church, of which she was a member, with burial at the Sully Cemetery.

Mrs. De Jong was born in Sully, where she lived until moving to Pella in 1954. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Johnnie of Sully; two daughters, Clazina Hoksbergen of Pella and Wanda De Prenger of Lytton; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the Pella Garden Chapel Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m.
