James W. Dirlam

WINONA, Minn. -- Funeral services were held today, July 30, for James W. Dirlam, 61, of Winona, Minn., formerly of Newton.

Burial was in Winona, Minn.

He died Friday.

Memorials may be made to the Jasper County Historical Society in Newton.

Survivors are his wife, Kathleen; four daughters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Ed) Williamson of Des Moines, Dr. Linda Dirlan of Chamberburg, Pa., Mary (Mrs. Tim) Cox of Davenport and Diane Dirlam of Winona; and two sisters, Iona Pratt of Honston Lake, Mo., and Betty Dirlam of Bloomingdale, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Dirlam had been a Winona City housing inspector for 10 years.

He was born Dec. 30, 1928 in Newton and was a 1947 graduate of Newton Community High School.
