Ruth Jean Carroll

Ruth Jean Carroll, 64, a longtime resident of Colfax and Jasper County, died Tuesday, March 27, at the Jasper County Care Facility southeast of Newton.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Colfax Cemetery.

The Rev. John Mc Kinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, will conduct services.

Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax after 4 p.m. Thursday.

Survivors are a brother, Ronald of Colfax, and two sisters, Margaret Wilson of Colfax and Leona Barackman of Los Alamitos, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mabel Carroll. The daughter of Leo and Maude Jackson Carroll, she was born Feb. 26, 1926 in Colfax.
